My name is jay gentile, i'm uh.. 1..2..oh yea 15years old, i collect he-man action figures and on the side i draw ansi.. sex scandals? uhh.. *sweat* i don't uhh know what you're talking about..

This local dumbass, CaW(who changed his name to Insomniac) told me to draw, so i did, and he ripped me and released my first ansi under his name in his group's pack, EMiC, and didn't put me in the memlist..

Anyway i got mirc from him and started coming on irc in uh.. 'round mid 95. He's younger than me, i beat his ass :) It was kinda fun

Ok, What do you remember of those days within the groups, give me an historical run through.. Like, who got you involved, what you did.. etc..

Retribution:
Well, it used to be like a helluva lotta fun.. and until surge i was just an artist.. in surge i became the ansi coordinator or something, and i felt important.. so i think ever since the surge days i've always loved kinda running groups or always having a job to do other than drawing and running your own group is like the ultimate high sometimes, you barely ever run out of inspiration (at least thats how i felt)..

Anyway nowadays it's like.. blah, it's just like, there's the scene, and then there's you, you don't really feel like you're part of the scene, you're just here to draw and shut up. THAT'S NO GOD DAMN FUN!

I think you are.. Are you in a group at the moment?

Good question :) Yep, avenge, and i'm proud.. Although i'm running out of inspiration.. that kinda sucks..

Tell me a little about avenge, is it the same thing that ACiD tried to get goinglast year?

Retribution:
No no no no no.. This avenge is completly different.. rumor started that maestro/oned were starting a group, legion, so like.. avenge is competition for legion, and i heard a RUMOR that savageCOW is starting a group.. so anyway avenge is completly seperate from acid and any other group..

We're just here to have fun and spark umm.. rivalry

So, who's involved with avenge, ie. seniors and shit?

Well creator, w7, and supposedly eVer, though i've only seen him once and it wasnt on #avenge..

Member-wise i'm not sure, we're getting new members all the time

Ok, a sensitive issue, at the end of last year u attempted to commit suicide, and well, the rumours went flying.. Do you care to tell the real story?

Retribution:
Uhh hmm well hmm, the real story is on acheron, under the article about 1997 in general, it's a rather long story.. But i HAVE recovered and i AM drawing again, and i don't like to be joked around with about the gun thing, i'm really moody about it..
