Hallucigenia

Hallucigenia have stayed alive longer than I expected and
they're getting better.
The definite highlight is Iris'
ir-faer.jpg. It's nicely painted and gives the feeling of
of feathers and fur. The creature is cute too. The lensflare
is redundant, though. It doesn't fit in, and discolors the
pic.
T. Bowlings rendered pics are
nice, but still stiff. They aren't alive at all. There isn't
any movement in the scenery, and the light is static. The
details are good, but the light is often unnatural. Very
seldom are there any dropshadows.
The rest of the pack is mostly
average and newbie work, not that bad. I get annoyed by
all the sketches, though. I appreciate "real-world
art" (since I paint with acrylics and draw with ink
myself), but sketches are more like "pre-art".
Sketching is for structuring a picture and experiment a
little before the real pic. Unless a sketch is really well
done and properly shaded I don't like it as art. If there
are toony sketches, they should at least be inked and colored!
To make it short, sketches of that sort don't belong in
an artpack! So there!

IR-BFAER.JPG was
very good but would have been better without the lens flares.
P3d I suggest you give the original artists credit on their
work if you are going to throw some filters on it and sign
your name, even if it is a painting as well known as The
Scream. P3d's other pics were some of the best in the pack,
assuming he didn't borrow anything from other artists. Once
again, lots more sketches in this pack that just seem unfinished
to me. The sketches are usually very good, but could be
so much better with some good coloring in them. If the artist
don't want to color them, an interesting sketched background
instead of plain white might help the drawing out a lot.
