Note: This review was written before
my acceptance into iCE. I may still write reviews on them
next month, but you may have to consider them biased. Tough.
iCE released a huge pack this
month, 27 good images on 3 disks. It amazes me how iCE can
find so many quality members, and they have even added quite
a few more this month. Almost all of the of the pics released
by iCE show great attention to detail, most other groups
could learn a lot from this.
Great pics from The Knave,
TK-TOTEM.JPG was my favorite this month. No one could ever
accuse Knave of ripping work (which is becoming an enormous
problem lately), he has a very original and detailed style.
Tim Wallace is another iCE member with great work every
month. This month he released two great pics without reusing
any of his older robot meshes. There were no hirez images
from Jae this month, which is a let down, but he puts so
much time into his work and was busy with other areas of
the group, so I suppose we can forgive him this time. ;)
iCE includes a nice .NFO file
in their pack and has beautiful web site with personal sections
for each of the members, a fantastic idea. Numerous members
post their previous work for your enjoyment, as well as
tutorials and excellent scene information. Some areas of
iCE’s page haven’t been updated in a long time, but a complete
rebuild of the site is in the works, and I have heard some
rumors of revolutionary ideas that are to be included.
