Carefully selected fragments are revised and arranged in a new and innovating way, while the found atmosphere and emotion is endensed. The results are almost static sonorous pictures full of emotion and expression, whose filigrane movements reflect equally riot and composure to the fullest. "Yara" is the second release of Marsen Jules on Autoplate, after the critically acclaimed "Lazy Sunday Funerals", that was claimed to be the missing link between Wolfgang Voigts Gas and Ekkehard Ehlers Betrieb, by the blueprint of experimental music review-zine, "Vital Weekly". While "Lazy Sunday Funerals" mainly refered to fragments of classic orchestraensembles, the source of "Yara" is completly different. It was in autumn 2002 when the "Trio Yara", from Dortmund aswell, played two extended concerts in a smokey club. Those concerts where recorded at the opposed bar. Because of the distance between the bar-microphone and stage, the recording assembled a lot background sounds, which dominated the recording especially in the quieter moments. The opening of a door, a shy giggle, mysterious voices, the rattle of touching glasses, a moody sigh or the whispering of the audience at the final chord. Just the kind of sounds that wouldn't fall into the ear of the ordinary listener made up Marsen to have a closer look at the recording. Carefully he extracted those moments that remain hidden to the usual listener, although they transpose a maximum of atmosphere and emotion. Then Marsen sequenced 6 exciting tracks between moving beauty and concentrated emotion. It is indeed truely extraordinary how Marsen Jules makes it; to extended static polaroids of sound and melt them into each other. Available as free-of-charge online release, this album is a great preview of the next upcoming Album by Marsen Jules, which is set to be released in autumn 2004 on the Berlin City Centre Offices label. "Yara" is a harmonic and internally closed field in the horizont of sound of Marsen Jules. The concerned soundwaves were used with kind authorization by "Trio Yara". -------------------------------------------------------------- :: 6 tracks :: 41min 16sec :: 58.132 MB :: 01: Marsen Jules - "Yara 01" 02: Marsen Jules - "Yara 02" 03: Marsen Jules - "Yara 03" 04: Marsen Jules - "Yara 04" 05: Marsen Jules - "Yara 05" 06: Marsen Jules - "Yara 06" -------------------------------------------------------------- [AUTOPLATE.RELEASES] APL001 VA - "Bauhaus" APL002 Andrey Kirichenko - "00.00" APL003 Danny Kreutzfeldt - "Furtherspace" APL004 833-45 - "Solar Cycle" APL005 Affective Disorder w/ Undacova - "Study Of A Ladybug On A Rope" APL006 VA - "Constructions for Andrey Kirichenko" APL007 Taavi Tulev - "Televiisor On Tuksis" APL008 Vultrapia - "Autopianotationalismasoschism" APL009 Dighom - "Vibrating Colours - Coloured Vibrations" APL010 Sable - "Dusk" APL011 Randomajestiq - "UnclassifiEP" APL012 Gultskra Artikler - "Gruppa Turistov" APL013 The Moglass w/ Andrey Kirichenko APL014 Off The Sky - "Studies of Lifeform In Transit" APL015 Johan Wieslander - "Gas" APL016 Fernando Lagreca - "Suave" APL017 Marsen Jules - "Lazy Sunday Funerals" APL018 Tlon - "Acoustic Lazy Dolls" APL019 Gultskra Artikler - "Gololed" APL020 VA - "Many Things Worth Living For" APL021 Konrad Bayer - "Shall We Go To The Park?"
