I fixed a lot of bugs and working through the bugreports now... And I added a couple of new features... Rapido. I fixed the following things from dESiRE 1.2beta sofar: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ What's new in 1.3final (as they will apear in the next version) ! bugs removed + new feature ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! Newusers do not have to wait ages for the 1st mailscan anymore. Mailscan started at 1st message for new users. Causes newusers to drop the carrier because it takes to long to get through... + optimized some code + Disable Private Upload messages + CONFIG.EXE Requested. ! ANSI ESC[2J Clearscreen codes resets @PAUSEON@ ! blacklisted users bug + an EXIT.xxx in the \DATA dir results in hangup, exitting the bbs and return to the waiting-for-call screen. create an EXIT.1 in your node 1 DATA-dir and node 1 will (when a user is online) hangup and exit! + Added capability to run an LOGIN-door! If the dropfile (DESDOOR.X) is filled with a loginname before the internal login the internal login will be skipped. --> Make a door which reads the name and password of a user. Put the info in the DOOR-record using the Desire Doorkit and write the DOOR-record to disk (WriteDropFile) and Desire will pick up the info and skip the normal login. Desire still checks if the user was blacklisted, inactive, deleted, sysop etc... Make sure the door itself checks the password and exits if the user failed to log on! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ What's new in 1.2c ! bugs removed + new feature ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! Error 102 bugfixed at start uploading. Didn't check if SKIP.LST really exists. ! ALT-6 and blinking username conflict. + Better and faster capturesystem. + Added option -CAPTURE to capture everything automaticly. run DESIRE 1 -CAPTURE and every output will come in a huge file in your \LOGFILES directory.. + Ctrl-x when editing ! Local Dupechecking Error 2 This error is caused by desire when it tries to open a file called SKIP.LST in the NODE-directory. If 'Local Dupechecking' is turned on in the config this file should exist to tell dESiRE what paths need to be checked for duplicates. Added option in CONFIG.EXE to turn query for fullscreen editor off/on. + Local Dupechecking. If your not sure if it's a dupe.... + Dupechecking after upload! (For protocols which do not support it!) If you run a external 'bla'-modem and it does not check for duplicate files on your harddisk, you might wanna use this so it lets the user upload it even it if still exist but it will check after upload if the file does the exist so the user will not get his credits for uploading a duplicate. ! That's quite nice, but: - Can I get it to supress showing the menu.ANS file ??? That would be *VERY* important... - Can I use it e.g. to run a door in the CONFMENU.PCB file that lets you choose the conference with a lightbar and then just pass the number of the con- ference, so that dESiRE does not have return to the A: The answer on the 1st question is no, in 1.2c it still shows the menu.
