Last year Bizarre'94 was held in Nijmegen. If was the first PC-party in the Netherlands. Although not everything was organised 100% last year, the party was a big success with more than 300 visitors. Of the original organisers of bizarre'94 only one person survived and a new organising team was formed. Bizarre'95 - Organization. Bizarre'95 is a general computer party for anyone who likes computers. At the party we have competitions for the best coders, best graphic artists and the best musicians. But the party is also meant for people who just like to play games. But mainly the party is a place where computer-freaks can meet eachother and just have a good time. Bizarre'95 - Where, When and How to get there. The party will be held at : Saturday 9 september 1995, and will last until Sunday. In general : If you can find the train-station you CANT mis it, because Etten-Leur isn`t exactly the biggest town around ;) Bizarre'95 - The entrance-Fee. We wanted an entrance-fee which is MUCH lower than the so called 'big' party`s, while they offer as much as we do ;) So we keep the entrance-fee to dFl 30,- ( thats about 18$ ) All entrance-Fees MUST be paid in dutch Guilders (dFL), you can exchange money at the station at the banks or at the GWK. Bizarre'95 - What to expect. What can to find at the party : * The party-Place. - Last year, at Bizarre'94 the party-place was very small. This year we have a place for 700 people, with enough place for 400 Computers. - The Party-Place is a very Luxerous building, so dont expect a warehouse ;) - The party-Place is divided into 4 rooms : a. Main Room where people sit with their computer and the big screen. b. Sleeping Room, with carpet on the floor, so you will have a good rest. c. Cinema, a seperate movie-room where we will show the latest movies around. d. Extra Room. This room is the same size as the Main room. It will be used for some surpise compo`s and other surprises. * The Carnaval. Yes! We are the first party with a CARNIVAL!, also known as kermis/fair/whatever. Anyway...Its a real Carnival! The carnival will be open till 00:00 * The Centrum. Etten-Leur isnt exactly the biggest town around, but it has cafe`s, cofeeshops, a carnival, liquir-store, and fastfood-places, so all you need ;) * The Cinema. We have a special room where we will show video`s and laserdics, naturally the hottest/newestr/best movies around! * Feed me...Feed me... There is a bar in the building which is open 24hours. But naturally you can arrange your own food/liquids from the shops in the centrum. * Network. We intent to build a gigantic network at the party-place. So if you have a network-card/cable you can bring it along. The bigger the net, the more fun You`re going to get! ( NOVELL IPX Needed ) * Women. Well...Try to pursuade to bring along your girlfriend. Naturally the carnival/Cinema is an extra reason to bring your girlfriend, so she doesnt get bored with all those computer-freaks. When enough women are available at the party, it will open extra possibilities for a girlfriend-compo etc.. Women get FREE access at the party! Bizarre'95 - The Competitions. * Although Bizarre'95 is a general Computer-party, the demo & intro competitions are PC-only. All other competitions are general. * There are no amiga demo/intro compo`s, because their alot of other party`s with compo`s for amiga. * General Rules : - All entries may have never been released before at other party`s. - All entries will be released at the end of the party. - 1 entry per coder/artist/musician. * Rules : PC Demo Compo : - 486DX2/66, VGA/MCGA, GUS - 4 MB maximal length PC Intro Compo : - 486DX2/66, VGA/MCGA, GUS - 64 Kb maximal length GFX Compo : - 640*480*256 as maximal Music Compo : - Maximal Size = 1 MB - maximal Length = 3 minutes - Runned with Streamtracker 3.x * Prize-Money : All prize-Money is the MINIMAL prize. When we reach the minimal amount of people needed to cover our expenses we will raise the prizes.
