searching...please wait nothing found That is the X-Files Screen editorial November, 1996 The x-files team says hello to the people !! The (scene-) year comes to an end and most of the scene is waiting for the biggest and last (but not least) scene event of the year : The Party 6 ! Will it be the last one ??? Will the loss of The Party be another part of the decay of the Amiga Demo Scene ??? We hope not !! Will we see there many good productions in the compos ??? Will we meet there many good old friends who will stay in the Amiga Demo Scene, also if everybody cries : THE AMIGA IS DEAD ??? We hope it !! OK, now the x-files stuff: We want to make a small "clean-up" in the x-files at the beginning of the next year, cause there are some groups in the x-files, from which we haven't heard something for ages. So we don't know of they are still active or if they split up, are dead, went to the pc (which means DEAD) or something like that. So please everybody: get in contact with us, if you want to stay in the x-files. We want to stay the most complete news mag in the scene [I think we can give us this title now]. Because of this we have to remove the garbage from the x-files. We don't want to be pumped up with something which isn't existing any more... As I stated in the last issues, we are planing to improve the x-files. We planned to make some of the 12 issues in one year as a real mag. So i asked you for some articles or some other support (like ideas for other improvements). But where is the response ? In the last months more and more people asked me to include articles in the x-files or to make the x-files a full mag. But without your help, we are not able to make these parts. I for myself can't write that much articles to fill a full issue with, because the work with the news and other things for the x-files is also still there (for all 12 issues). We are thinking if it will be a good idea to enlarge the x-files staff with one or more permanent editor(s) and some guest-editors for each issue. If you are interested in becoming a permanent member of the x-files staff as editor, contact us and we will talk about... =) We are also searching for one or more swapper(s), who would like to cooperate with us and would like to be part of the x-files team. We are especially searching for swappers with an internet-account/email-address. These swappers are easier and faster to contact and they can get the latest issue much faster than via normal snail-mail. So please get in contact with us, if you are interested to be a swapper for the x-files. In one issue i said there will be never again a double-months-issue. but i have to break my word, but with a good reason. we are planing to release the next issue (#12 - dec/jan) at The Party 6. Because of the date of the party it isn't possible to release it as a normal issue. So we make it as a special issue, a party-issue. We want to release an intro with next issue, to make it a real special issue. But we need some guys or a group which can make this intro. so if you want to make an intro for the 12th issue of the x-files, please get in contact with us. we will give you as much support as we are able! Out of six entries it became 3rd, and quite frankly I disagree with this. The intro should have been DISQUALIFIED because it has got some very offending things in it. It has texts in it that could be interpreted as if the makers of the intro think it is fun what happend to the 'Belgium-porno-story'. I would just like to say that the intro is NOT considered as an EFFECT intro because: 1. I was never informed of this release 2. It has got some pretty offending stuff in them. Furthermore I would like to say that the makers of the intro have been KICKED out of EFFECT (mainly) because of the release of this thing. We are a friendly group, and doing things like this is in my eyes NOT considered as friendly, this is just SICK. I as a leader am not alone in this decision, and I think more people would have done the same thing (and if they would not have, they SHOULD have). The doors will open at 21.00 on the 15th of November (Friday) and they close at 14.00 on the 17th of November (Sunday). Entrance fee is 150 NOK for boys and none for girls. [Very original] - -[ How to get there ]- ---------------------------------- With car: From downtown Oslo, follow highway 190 --------- eastwards. Turn right at Helsfyr. Then follow "Tvetenveien" until you reach Tveita. The college is visible to the left once you reach the third roundabout. Train/Subway: Take the train to Oslo S. Then take the ------------- subway to Tveita subway-station, which is located about 100 meters from the college. Follow the signs (If we bother putting them up =)) Plane: Take the plane to Fornebu airport and then ------ follow the instrunctions given in the "Train/Subway" section. The mainhall is normally used as an aula and cafe for the school. We also have an additional hall wich normally is used for other school purposes. Together they fit about 300 people.
