Just have to wonder how a few artists on the scene manage to release quality collections so often. My respects to them. I'm a good example of something totally different; I released my first collection in 1994, and this one is my 5th or 6th. I hope that I've always managed to maintain a high level of design, and that's my goal in the future too. It's pathetic to see new artists release low-quality packs after another, it's the quality - not the quanity, something that everyone knows, but unfortunately seems to forget too often. So I'm hitting under the Twilight-label now, we are trying to put some fire under it, and new artists are always welcome - if they have the style. I see good groups taking in low-talented artists, and artists respecting someone just because 'everyone else does'. Sure it's easy for me to say, i've been doing ascii for over three years and have never gotten to one of the big groups. That's true but it doesn't change the facts. If you respect someone as an ascii-artist, look at his work, not the hours he spends on IRC. Many of the guys who have been here for many years, are leaving the scene now. Same time, alot of new artists are hitting the scene with their PC's. They should be given a break also, no one's a maestro when he's born, maybe everyone should take a look of the first collections by for example Crusader or Red Dee, they aren't much better than the shit most of the new artist and I produce. Most of those newbies are real idiots, but hey; the talent will always come through, and the shit's gonna be let there standing.
