(LMB/RMB flips pages, both to quit) WHY? A celebration of the Motorola 68000 CPU and its derivatives. Compo machines include Amiga, Atari ST classic Macs, Sega Mega Drive, SNK Neo Geo, and more. In addition to the usual computing stuff, you also get to enjoy the beautiful Finnish countryside. There's going to be sauna and grilling, and you can also take a swim in the lake if you feel like it! WHEN AND WHERE? 22nd to 24th May 2026, at Aulangon Suuri Huvila, Hameenlinna, Finland There's a very limited amount of computer spaces available, and are on a first come, first served basis. Beds are available for most visitors (also first come, first served), and a hotel (Scandic Aulanko) is only two kilometers away. Important: if you sleep at the party place, you need to bring your own bed linen! The party place is easily reachable by car. You can also take the train to Hameenlinna and then take a taxi to the party place. TICKETS Tickets are 60e per person. Sign up on our website at 68k-inside.party Circa 60 tickets are available. Note that signing up does not guarantee you entrance to the party. We will contact you with payment information when your ticket is confirmed. COMPOS Submitting entries and voting: Partyboi will be opened closer to the party. To be on the safe side, submit your entries before the party. We'll do our best to provide an internet connection during the party as well, both for submitting entries and voting. Remote entries are welcome! The deadline for remote entries is also Saturday 23rd 12:00 Finnish time. COMPO CATEGORIES Demo - Any 680x0-based machine (see notes for examples) - The size of the demo will be displayed Intro - Any 680x0-based machine (see notes for examples) - Size limit: 68 kB - Can be split into 4 kB and 68 kB compo if there are enough entries 256 byte intro - Any 680x0-based machine (see notes for examples) - 256 byte executable, including header Wild demo - Any other platform not listed above, with one exception: Modern Windows (i.e. Windows Vista or newer) demos are prohibited, there are other parties for those Music - Size limit: 512 kilobytes - Platform + tune specs displayed - Display contents will not be shown - Executables are allowed - A separate chip music compo may be held if there are more than three entries below 32 kilobytes Graphics - Only native modes for platforms - Has to be viewable with standard 15khz screen - Platform + graphics specs displayed - Executables are allowed, with no moving elements on screen - Audio will not be played COMPO NOTES Examples of machines allowed in the non-wild compos: - Amiga 500, 1MB RAM, Floppy drive - Atari STfm/STe, 1MB RAM, Floppy drive - 68000-040-based Macs - Sharp X68000 - Sega Mega Drive - SNK Neo Geo - Amiga 1200 + 060, 128MB RAM, Hard drive - Atari Falcon + 060, 128MB RAM, Hard drive - TI-89 calculator - Sinclair QL Basically anything running a 68000 to 68060, including variants, is allowed. FPGA/Raspberry Pi -based accelerators go in the wild compo. We will provide the following machines: - Amiga 500 with standard 512k/512k configuration - Atari STe with 4MB RAM Additionally, we can bring the following machines if requested well in advance (i.e. at least one week before the party): - Amiga 1200 with TF1260 accelerator at 66MHz, 128MB RAM - Atari STfm with 1MB RAM - Atari Falcon030 with 14MB RAM + FPU - Sega Mega Drive (PAL MD2, with 50/60 Hz switch) with a flash cart - SNK Neo Geo AES, with a Terraonion NeoSD flash cart (hence, if possible please submit your entry also as a NeoSD .neo file) - SNK Neo Geo CD, with both a functional CD drive and Furrtek's SD loader For any machine thats not listed here be prepared to either bring your own machine (with knowledge of how to make it work with an OSSC or similar) or provide a pre-recorded video of your productions (mp4 format preferred). The latter is the safest bet. We may also pre-record demos for the compos, depending on technical limitations. Compo prizes will *not* be mailed out to remote entries. However, you can arrange to have someone at the party pick your prize up for you. We cannot guarantee a compo stream, but we'll give it a try for sure. Be sure to subscribe to the Dekadence Twitch channel. All entries that are shown on screen at the party will also be shown in the party live stream, and will thus also be uploaded to our Youtube channel. CODE OF CONDUCT Please be respectful toward all party visitors. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other similar behavior will not be tolerated. You will be told to knock it off, and continued bad behavior will get you ejected from the party. Additionally, disruptive behavior due to extreme inebriation will also not be tolerated. If your only purpose in coming to the party is getting shitfaced and being annoying to everyone, stay home. In short, don't be a shithead, regarding anything. All this is in addition to the rules of the venue itself and Finnish laws, which must also be followed. We're all here to grill, chill, and have a good time!
