Technical notes (from Chojin) : For all you out there who are interested in this : For best performance you should use at least a Pentium-200 MMX with 32 Mbytes of RAM and a fast GFX-Card and Internet Explorer 4.0. All the 3d-Characters and items were realtime rendered with OtakInc's own JAVA-3d-Engine. The highest number of polygons in the whole demo is arround 8500 Polygons (in the Ohrmu-scene with Nausicaa and Nausicaa with Teto (the fox-squarel). All the animation-sequences were hard-coded and not imported from a 3d-Software! (As most demos do now-a-days). A real-string-model was used for the Ohrmu-scene-tentacles and for the face-scene with San. The 3d-clouds were made with OtakInc's own Cloud3d (V001) - System. The inbetween picture between the last angel-part and the last Nausicaae-Scene was realtime-calculated with OtakInc's new Color-Coaldraw-System! The zipper at the beginning of the demo was also realtime-calculated with OtakInc's ZipperVR V002-System. From Belgarath: The 3-d objects that where supplied from me is all made in Lightwave5.5 modeler. No external plug-ins where used, just plain modeling. And the 2-d additional art I supplied was pixeled in PaintShopPro4.1. Not even in this case I used any plug-ins. I am all for the benifit of a NON plug-in world. Use your ethnical skills and move ALL Adobe proggies to the recyclebin! |
