Between 3-4 am Saturday the 27th of November 1993, one of Swedens most respected and fastest modem-traders, known as Mascot, got badly injured in a car-crash. The accident took place at road E4, one of Swedens biggest highways, in the suburbs of Stockholm. Mascot, who were totally drunk, was all alone in the vehicle when he passed out behind the steering wheel and drove right into a big fence at the side of the road. The car, which he had stolen earlier that same evening, flipped around couple of times, making the car look like trash. However, he made it through and survived. He's still in hospital totally lame from top of his head and all the way down to his feet. This means he can't lift even a finger and has big difficulties speaking. Hopefully in the future he will be able to sit in a wheelchair, move atleast two fingers, but don't count on it. The doctors and experts have said that, sadly but true, he might never get any better. But, they are doing everything possible to make him start working again, and with all this new technology which is available today he could get much better, even start eating by himself. I can tell you that the background of this Mascot's behaviour was because of his girlfriend and parents. The day before the accident his girlfriend, which he acctually was engaged to, broke up and by the same time he was in a big argue with his parents concerning the latest phonebill. His parents said the couldn't let him stay living in their house, they couldn't afford it anymore. This ended up in Mascot leaving the house, stole a car and drove off to Stockholm city, where he dropped in at a pub called Lilla Kopenhamn. The rest of this sad story is already told. After all, this means Mascot will truly never get back to this scene. He was a wellknown name in the Amiga computer scene. I think we'll all remember him as the Good friend with a big G. It was Mascot's idea to make this textfile and he'd like to thank everybody involved in the scene. It really was the best days of his life.
